UniCredit S.p.A., the second biggest shareholder in Bank of Valletta, is to sell its 10% stake in the bank.

An investor has been identified, the bank said in a company announcement, without naming anyone. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

UniCredit S.p.A. holds 52,500,439 shares in the bank, being 10.001% of the issued
shareholding.

The government is the biggest shareholder in the bank, with 25%.
