ANASTASI. On March 20, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINETTE (Lina), née Anastasi, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband of 63 years, Emanuel, her daughter Simone and her husband Ramon Borg Bartolo, her son Patrick and his wife Lorraine, her grandchildren James and his wife Roberta, David and his wife Adriana, Christine and her husband Christian, Hena-Marie, Stephanie and Nicolette, her great-grandchildren Nathan and Maria, her sisters Carrie and her husband Ronnie, Jessie and her husband Paul, Memè widow of Guido, her brother George and his wife Doris, Mary widow of her brother Alfred, her in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The celebration of Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Saturday, March 24, at 8.30am at Our Lady of Carmelite Church, Balluta, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Villa Mons. Gonzi, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. May she rest in peace.
BALDACCHINO. On March 18, GIULIO from Sliema, residing in Mellieħa, passed away peacefully at the aged of 44. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss, his mother Marlene, his son Liam and Maria, his sister Alexia and Julian, Irene, relatives and numerous friends. The funeral arrangements have been postponed indefinitely, and will be announced later on. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GALEA. On March 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, BENVENUTA, better known as Vivi, née Lewis, wife of the late Anthony Galea, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marstel and her husband Charles Cuschieri, Joseph and his wife Pauline, her beloved grandchildren Paul and his wife Nadine, Joseph and his fiancée Victoria, John, Clara, Katrina and her great-grandchild Beppe, her sister Rosy and her husband Salvinu Preca, who live in Australia, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, March 24, at 1.30pm for the new parish church Sta Venera where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at St Gorg Cemetery, Naxxar. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
KING. On March 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALBERT, aged 87, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Luiġia, his sons Mark, Ian and daughter Sandy, their spouses, grandchildren, in-laws and friends. Celebration of Mass will be said on Tuesday, March 27 at 2.30pm at Marsascala church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MIFSUD. On March 22, at Samoc, Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN of Attard, aged 83, widower of Katherine, (founder of Thi Lakin School, Attard) passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his children Liam, Shenda, Damian, Tami and Aidan, their spouses, his 10 grandchildren, his sisters Marie-Louise and Josephine, his brother Edwin and his wife Ena, his sister-in-law Veronica (widow of his brother Reginald), other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital, on Monday, March 26 at 8.30am for St Mary Parish Church, Attard where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am. The family would appreciate it, if instead of flowers, donations are to be sent, in his name to Lumiere Support Group (Samoc), Mater Dei Hospital.
