If the PN thinks its message is reaching the people, they are tragically wrong. If it thinks its media are in any way getting across to the people, again, it is very wrong.
At the moment, I feel the PN is focused on obtaining funds.
Of course, there is nothing wrong in that but it should realise that none of its so-called supporters bother to listen to its messages. Let me give an example. The party raised €16,000 on Eddie Fenech Adami’s birthday, which the PN felt was satisfactory. As a PN supporter I was humiliated. The party had called on supporters to donate €10 each, which means only 1,600 had responded.
The PN boasts of a huge number of members. Where are they?
It is time for the PN to understand that its message is not reaching the people. Money-hoarding has become the order of the day.
Many still recall the days when Fenech Adami used to call us to the squares and his message used to reach all households. At present, only One TV and its ally, PBS, reach Maltese households. I am probably the oldest PN member around and I am sure I will die a PN member but the party’s great defect is that, notwithstanding all its lawyers, it still fails to understand it must listen to what we say. I listen to Radio 101 ever day; what a farce. Sometimes, I watch One TV, which is very effective.
If the PN persists in keeping its present attitude, we can only look forward to a very gloomy future for our dear Malta.
My last call: PN, wake up.
