Levantina, the bistro and bakehouse in the heart of Mrieħel, has introduced its new Sunday lunch set menu. Their Middle Eastern-inspired menu will include slow-cooked beef ribs, Iberico pork cheeks braised with basra date syrup, Baharat spiced leg of lamb and pulled lamb shanks in brioche bun with dill yogurt and rucola.

This will be offered together with the à la carte menu, which includes their mezze selection, such as the Turkish muhammara, Beirut falafels, whipped feta and beef koftas. Their main courses are inspired from North Africa and the Middle East, and include their bestselling chicken tagine and tamarind Persian spiced prawn curry.

Levantina, which is also renowned for its delicious cakes, recently introduced Sunday afternoon tea by booking only. Among the items on offer are their Egyptian basbousa semolina cake, tahini halva brownies and orange blossom infused scones.

Besides offering business lunches from Monday to Friday, Levantina, managed by Silvana Callus Mizzi, has also managed to attract foodies to enjoy their food in the evenings from Wednesday to Saturday.

Sunday lunch will be served from 12.30 to 3pm, while the bistro is open for dinner from 6 to 10pm. Deliveries are now being made throughout the week both at lunchtime and dinner.

Levantina is situated in Triq in-Negozju and can be reached on 2144 0149 or 7937 7159. One can also visit www.levantina.com.mt or look up @levantina-store on Facebook.
