Two men and woman were injured in an argument in St Paul’s Bay on Saturday.

The police said the argument took place in Triq Ċensu Tanti at 12.30pm.

On arriving on site, the police found an injured 35-year-old Romanian woman, who lives in St Paul’s Bay, on the ground.

Preliminary investigations showed that an argument had taken place between three men in an apartment in the same road some time earlier.

A medical team from Mater Dei hospital was called to assist the woman and a 38-year-old Libyan man, who lives in Mellieħa. The man suffered grievous injuries, the woman slight. A 34-year-old Bulgarina man was also slightly injured.

The police are holding the Libyan man to help in the investigation.
