BORG. On March 12, at St Vincent de Paul, DORIS, née Aquilina, widow of Anthony of Valletta, formerly of Sliema, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Mariella and her husband Anthony Falzon, Simonè and her husband Louis Galea, her son James and his wife Phyllis, her grandchildren Oriana and her husband Andrew Spiteri, Matthew and Lauma, Bernard and Francesca, Adrienne and Steve, Alain, her sisters Carmen widow of Paul Zammit, Cecelia and her husband Andrew Vella, Antionette wife of her brother Joe, Anna and her husband William Arena, all her husband’s family, many other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves St Vincent de Paul residence on Wednesday, March 14 at 7.15am for St Augustine church Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CATANIA. On March 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL (ex-Counsellor at the Education Department), of Siġġiewi, aged 77, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Nikolina, his daughter Audrey and her husband Richard, his grandchildren Christine-Marie and Nicky, his brother Benedict and his sister Mary and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Monday, March 12, at 3pm for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at Siġġiewi Cemetery. CILIA. On March 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, MAURICE (Tar-Rex), of Valletta residing in Guarda-manġa, aged 90, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his only daughter Fleur, family and many friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 13, at 9am for Our Lady of Fatima parish church, Guardamanġa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. LICARI. On March 9, at his residence in Balzan, VICTOR Lieutenant Ad Honorem, Knight Grand Cross of Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, aged 82, passed peacefully after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his immediate family. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rosanne née Pace, his children Daniela wife of Richard Scerri, Jerome and his wife Janika, Ambrose and Jeppy, his treasured granddaughters Sara, Michaela, Petra, Philippa and Pia, his siblings Mary Lourdes, Sister Helendina of the Congregation of St Joseph of the Apparition, Doris Dionyssopoulos of USA, Ruth Aquilina, JoJo, Esther Vella Bonnici, Paul and Edward and their spouses, Iris widow of his brother Michael, Marlene widow of his brother Bernard, his in-laws Mona Zammit, Stephanie Pace, Norman Grima, Gloria Smith and Massie Vella, nephews and nieces, relatives and numerous friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, March 14 at 2pm for Our Lady of Annunciation parish church, Balzan, for the celebration of Mass præsente cadavere at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance through back gate). NAUDI. On March 10, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, ANTHONY, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his dear wife Mary, his dear children Michelle and her husband Joseph Meli and Vanessa and her husband Robert Delia, his dearest grandchildren Andrea and his fiancée Ingrid, Antonella, Sarah, Rebecca and Rachelle, his brother Herbert and his wife Tania, his sister Tania and her husband Peter Paul Portelli, his brothers-in-law and their respective families, his nephew Fr Claude Portelli, St Julian’s parish priest, nephews and nieces, other relatives and many good friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today, Monday, March 12, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (back gate). No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clares Monastery, St Julian’s, will be greatly appreciated. PACE. On March 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOE, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Isabella née Zammit, his beloved daughter Becky and her husband Andrea Trapani, his sister Judy and her husband Anthony Zammit, his brother Jonathan and his wife Josette, his in-laws Lorna and Joe Pitrè, Herman, Ronald and his wife Claire, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, March 13, at 1.30pm for the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at the Naxxar Cemetery.
