This is not the aftermath of another bombing in a war zone, but a picture taken on Saturday morning in 'upmarket' Sliema. 

A cloud of dust is seen rising from the ground choking the surrounding area in Sliema as the Qui-si-Sana area is gutted to make way for new buildings. 

"This is Qui-si-Sana this morning. We can't even breathe freely. This is crazy. Qui si muore (you will die here)," a frustrated reader said, accompanying the picture above. 

Last month, Times of Malta had reported that works to demolish the Fortina hotel in that area had prompted a flurry of complaints from residents, who said workers were dumping rubble down the side of the building.
