I have been a Melita customer for over 25 years and have their full package of TV, phone and internet.

My contract expired last October when I had €120 on my phone account, which was topped up automatically. I only use the phone for local calls or once a week to contact my relatives in England, so, on January 6, I asked for this service to be stopped. Four e-mails later it’s still being topped up. I called them to enquire why and was told that if I stop payments my account will be reduced to €20. I protested that it was my money that had topped up the account and the reply was: “that’s what will happen”.

How can they get away with this robbery? How many other customers have had this experience? Who do I contact to get this daylight robbery of my money stopped?
