ABELA FITZPATRICK. On March 2, GAETANO, at Capua St James Hospital, widower of Irene née Desira, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Paul, his daughter Lucienne and her husband Aaron, his partner Mary, his grandchildren Buck, Michaela and Sara, his brothers Joe and wife Doris, Manoel and his wife Eileen, his sisters Anna and her husband Joe Agius, Tessie and her husband Joe Mifsud, Sylvia and her husband Paul Zammit, his deceased wife’s Irene Desira families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Capua St James Hospital on Tuesday, March 6, at 1.30pm for the Carmelite Friars’ parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Puttinu Cares will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BUSUTTIL. On February 8, at Kings College Hospital, London, FRANZ, aged 78, passed away having not regained consciousness following a stroke on Christmas Eve. He had been rehearsing with his choir in preparation for Midnight Mass at St Barnabas church in Downham, London. He will be greatly missed by his sons Simon and his wife Emily, Matthew and his partner Sarah, his daughter Elena and her husband Andrew, together with his six grandchildren Katie, Isabel, Olivia, Daniel, Joshua and Francesca, his sister Stella, residing in New Zealand and his brother Joe and his wife Rita, his nephews and nieces, other relatives, long-time friend Juliette, his neighbours, friends and former colleagues and pupils. His funeral will take place on March 23 at St Barnabas church in Downham.
CAMILLERI. On February 23, in Melbourne, Australia, ANDREW, aged 63, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Anna, née Pace, his children Daniel and his wife Michelle, his daughter Diane and her husband Ziya, his grandchildren Joshua, Lucas, Jett and Alexandra, his sister Lynn and her husband John Magro, his brothers Chev. Dr Victor Camilleri and his wife Doris, Frank and his wife Angie, Charles Zammit, widower of his sister Lucienne, his in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 11, at 4pm at Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema. Family, friends and relatives are urged to attend.
CASSAR. On March 2, VIOLET, née Muscat, widow of Joseph, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Mario and his wife Annabelle, Alex and his wife Marthese, Aldo and his wife Fiona, her daughter Monique and her husband Mario Theuma, her grandchildren Jan and his partner Sabrina, Nikolas, Michael Anthony, Andrew, Matthew, Mark, Daniel, Kevin and Lisa and her great-granddaughter Leah, her brothers Joseph and his wife Tarcisia, Victor and his wife Hilda, Louis and his wife Diane, her sister-in-law Anna, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, March 6, at 8am for Fleur-de-Lys parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. EDWARDS. On February 14, at London Bridge Hospital, London, ANDREW, aged 71, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Anna, Gemma, Luke, Charles and Oliver and their children, his mother Josephine, his brother Brian and sister Barbara, wife of Christopher, partner Annalea, nephews, nieces and cousins as well as extended family, other relatives and friends.
SPITERI. On March 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dominic of Valletta, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Louise, widow of Ray Sultana, Anton and his wife Josette, Anna and her partner Joe Azzopardi, John, widower of Josette, his beloved grandchildren Jean Paul, Ariane, Christophe, Jessica, Alexia, Mark and Francesca, their respective spouses and partners, great grandchildren, his brother- in-law Fredrick Cachia, his nephew and niece, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, March 6, at 7.45am for St Dominic parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
