Good morning.

The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers.

Times of Malta reports how a head of school was assaulted in her office yesterday. Her aggressor is to be taken to court.

The story is also given prominence in In-Nazzjon, which points out how the PN is calling for increased security in schools.

Times of Malta in its front page also highlights fears by Swieqi hotels about a development application for an aparthotel in the heart of the town.

MaltaToday says Beppe Fenech Adami's role as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee was questioned by government MPs after emails showed how Nationalist MPs, including himself, recommended people for employment at Wastserv.

But The Malta Independent quotes Dr Fenech Adami saying there is no comparison between the engagement of a large number of people by Wastserv before the last election and the leaked emails.

In other stories, MaltaToday says the dates of the Spring hunting season have raised BirdLife's ire because they are close to the peak migration season of turtle dove. It also reports how a Canadian company has acquired a Maltese company which it intends to turn into a distribution hub for medical cannabis.
