Surely there is a law in Malta that stops organisations or fanatical people from putting up photographs, posters, slogans and candles on our national monuments, disrespectfully turning them into messy shrines.

Enough is enough. No one, no organisation, no institution, has any legal right to show any disrespect to our national monuments or public buildings in any way or form.

The ministers, government authorities and police should take urgent action now and remove those candles, pictures, writings and slogans from our national monuments.

The vast majority of the Maltese are very unhappy with this farcical situation.
