• The Victoria and the Xagħra Scout Groups will be celebrating Founder’s Day today. There will be a church parade and Mass at the Xagħra Basilica at 9.45am.

• Special events are being held on the anniversary of Il-Ħaġar Museum in Victoria which opened its doors on February 23, 2013. A Thanksgiving Mass by museum curator Mgr Joseph Farrugia will be held at St George’s Basilica today at 11am, followed by a celebratory buffet lunch at Ta’ Ċenċ at 12.30pm.

• A Way of the Cross will be held from Ta’ Pinu sanctuary to Għammar Hill today at 3.30 p.m.

• The Gozo Wedding Fair is being held at the Gozo Sports Complex in Victoria today from 1pm to 6pm. 

• Coco (PG) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 2.30pm and at 5.30pm.

• To commemorate the apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes, Masses will be said at Lourdes church, Għajnsielem, today at 5.15am and 8.30am, 1, 3.30 and 5pm and on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5.15am and 9am and at 1, 3.30 and at 5pm. Devotees may visit the sanctuary until 7.30pm.

• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital Outpatients Department on Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly will hold its annual general meeting at the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall on Thursday at 7pm. Prior to the meeting, Mass will be celebrated for all benefactors at St Francis church, Victoria, at 6.30pm.

• Lenten talks for youths will be held at the Don Bosco Oratory chapel from Friday at 8pm. Fr Renato Borg will deliver the talks. All youths are invited to attend.

• ‘Disobedience in a Hotel, Pub or Classroom’  is the title of a public talk organised by Philosophy Sharing Gozo at the Circolo Gozitano, 6, Sir Adrian Dingli Street, Victoria, on Friday at 7.30pm. The talk will be delivered by Dr Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci.

• The Malta Medical Students Association will be hosting its third edition of Gozo HealthFest at Arkadia commercial centre on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The association’s aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle while offering the public free check-ups of blood pressure, blood glucose and body mass index.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Ta’ Ħamet, on Saturday at 8pm, followed by Mass at Midnight.

• A youth exchange training programme focusing on social entrepreneurship is being held in Zakopane, Poland, from March 4 to 12. A call for participation has been issued by the Gozo Youth Council. Four youths between the ages of 19 and 25 will be chosen. Those who would like to participate are to send an e-mail together with their CV to info@gozoyouthcouncil.com
