She is survived by her husband Anthony (also known as Tony, of FBS Group/Foster Clark & B&S Group), her cherished and precious children Brian and Suzanne, her sisters Monica and her husband John Galea and Margaret and her husband Noel Holland, her Sciberras and Calleja cousins, her in-laws Marlene and her husband Lino Scicluna, Margaret and her husband Joseph Wismayer, Nanette, widow of Frank Busuttil, Therese, widow of Louis Busuttil, Wendy, widow of Charles Busuttil, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Monday, February 26, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance through the back gate). CARUANA. On February 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, BLANCHE, née Picavet, widow of Joseph (ex-school headmaster), aged 97, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Dearly missed and never forgotten by her beloved children Emmanuel and his wife Anna, Mary, widow of Roger, Antoinette and her husband John, Rose-Marie and her husband Paul, her grandchildren Angele, Denise, Sophie, Michael, Joanne, Stephanie, Ann-Marie, Catherine and Therese, her great-grand­children, her sister-in-law Georgina, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. CHETCUTI. On February 24, at home, MICHAEL (Cuti), aged 51, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marianne, his children Martina and Michelle, his mother Carmen, his sister Sandra and her husband Richard, his brother Steve and his wife Desirée, his father-in-law Victor Ellul, his sister-in-law Roberta, his brother-in-law Pierre and his wife Anika, Nicky and her family, his nephews and nieces, relatives, friends and colleagues.Mass præsente cadavere, will be said tomorrow Monday, February 26, at 3pm at St Mary’s parish church, Attard, followed by interment at Gudja cemetery. DAVIES. On February 21, at St James Hospital, Sliema, Chevalier ROGER DAVIES, KLJ BCrLJ, died peacefully, having celebrated his 100th birthday (the ton) the week before. Much loved and sorely missed by his sons Simon and Andy, and their families. A funeral and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 10.30am at St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral, followed by a wake in the undercroft. OLIVIERI. On February 23, JOE, aged 91, passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Marie Louise née Said, his son Louis and his wife Elizabeth, his daughters Josette and her husband Steve Naudi and Brigid and her husband Patrick White; grandchildren Christina, Ryan and Michael, his sisters Maria Eastwood of Yorkshire, UK, and Doris Grech, his nephew, nieces, other relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother John, her sister Margaret, her nephews Stephen and his wife Ann, Francis and his wife Marguerite, her nieces Bernadette and her husband Mario, Rosemary and her husband Franco, their respective families, relatives and friends. A Mass in memory of CHANEL MARIE BRINCAT, née Busuttil, on her 35th date of birth, will be cele­brated today at 8.30am at San Ġwann parish church. The attendance of relatives and friends would be greatly appreciated.

Furniture sale

A sale of antique and old furniture and collectibles, including books, holy pictures, antique Maltese lace and antique dolls, will be held at St Helen’s parish centre, Birkirkara (at the back of St Helen’s church) until next Sunday.

Opening hours will be daily between 9am and noon and from 5 to 7.30pm, and on Saturday and Sundays only in the morning.
