Although I never visited Mount Carmel Hospital, I did hear about the situation there and what I hear and read does not make people feel any better.
I do not know Michael Briguglio (‘What’s up at Mount Carmel?’, February 19) but it is so good that someone draws people’s attention to the mental health situation in general and, of course, in Malta, where we live. May I compliment him on his contribution.
If one has a broken arm or a leg in plaster, it becomes immediately apparent that the person has a problem, so why not if a person is mentally unwell? This can happen any time to anyone and for so many other reasons then just stress.
