A presentation entitled Malta’s Changing Waters, on the challenges faced by Malta’s marine environment and some of the solutions available, will be held at St James Cavalier Cinema tomorrow from 7 to 10pm.

It will be conducted by marine biologist Alan Deidun from the University of Malta’s Department of Geosciences and Daniel De Castro from the Malta National Aquarium.

Powerful imagery captured by Deidun during his underwater research will launch the evening.

He will also present a follow-up of the Our Ocean conference held recently in Malta. Three new apps created by students at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Mcast) will be showcased during the event: Invasive Fish Species, Spot the Jellyfish and the Big Fish Project.

The presentation Malta’s Changing Waters, which forms part of the Action Planet Speakers Series, will be held at St James Cavalier Cinema, Valletta, tomorrow from 7 to 10pm. Attendance is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. For details visit www.kreattivita.org.
