Findings of research on the impact of Valletta 2018 will be presented at a seminar entitled Culture Matters at the Chamber of Commerce on March 1.

The seminar will include discussions by researchers who assessed the impact of the European Capital of Culture title as well as the Valletta 2018’s Foundation’s work over the past three years. It will focus on the topics of cultural participation, branding, tourism, the impact on the community and the impact of the infrastructural projects such as the Valletta Design Cluster, Is-Suq tal-Belt, Muża and Strait Street.

Guest speaker Szilvia Nagy from Locop, a research organisation focused on cultural policy and supra-regional-funding across the EU, will also deliver a presentation.

As a follow-up to the seminar, an informal networking event will be held on Friday, March 2, at 7.30pm at La Valette Band Club, Republic Street, Valletta, organised by the Valletta 2018 Foundation is collaboration with Pecha Kucha, Valletta.
