A man suffered serious injuries, another was slightly injured, and four were arrested after a fight in Tarxien on Monday afternoon.

The police said on Tuesday that it was informed about the incident by the hospital authorities shortly before midnight.

The fight took place some hours earlier in Triq Kelinu Cachia and a plastic pipe was reportedly used. 

The seriously injured man is a 36-year-old, from Tarxien.

A 42-year-old from Qormi was slightly injured.  

Four persons allegedly involved in the fight have been held for questioning.
