The Ramblers’ Association is organising an easy three-hour walk from Xemxija to Manikata tomorrow, starting at 2pm.

The route follows a wooded ridge crossing the island and is replete with cultural curiosities, such as cart ruts, tombs, bee keeps and old roadways. The meeting place is near the Xemxija beach kiosk.

Another pleasant but more difficult walk will be held on Sunday along the southern coastal cliffs of Birżebbuġa, treading inland through Wied ix-Xoqqa and Wied Żnuber. The walk will last between three and four hours. The meeting place is the Freeport car park in Birżebbuġa at 9am.
