Duncan Micallef, the reigning Champion Of The International Federation of Automobile (FIA) Top Fuel Dragster, confirmed that he will be again taking part in  the entire championship in 2018.

During an activity at a hotel in St Julian’s, Micallef exhibited the four trophies won during 2017, a gesture appreciated by his sponsors that were present when he announced this news.

Micallef, winner of the Sportsman of the Year award last Saturday explained that is not easy for anyone non-professional driver to make two consecutive championships, but with support he found by his team, his sponsors and the car owners have made this an easier decision for him.

Micallef will start his international campaign between May 27 and 29 in Santa Pod in the UK before taking part in the second leg scheduled for June 17 and 18 at the Tierp Arena in Sweden.

On July 1 and 2, the championship moves to Finland for the racing event in Alastaro.

Hockenheim will host the fourth leg of the championship on August 19 and 20 and week later the dragracing circus will return to the Tierp Arena.

The season finale will be held at Santa Pod on September 9 and 10.

Duncan Micallef's sponsors in the 2017 title winning campaign were Bajada New Energy, JP Portelli Projects, Mobile Total and Kamtech and have all reconfirmed their support once again for 2018.
