The Gozo Sports Complex in Victoria was turned into a Carnival Village where various activities were held for students, their parents and grandparents. The theme of the activity, organised by the Gozo College Victoria Primary School, in collaboration with the Cultural Council within the Gozo Ministry, was Darbtejn Insiru Tfal.

The activity started with the usual morning assembly where the head of school, Lelio Spiteri, gave a brief explanation about the origin of carnival, followed by a message by Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana.

The children took part in dance competitions which were held between classes. They then visited various areas in the complex where carnival activities were taking place, including carnival story-telling experiences by some of the grandparents.

Other activities included art and crafts, body painting, a folklore group from Xagħra who performed the Kummitiva, a Gozitan Carnival dance, a fashion parade by the students and games and a bouncy castle for young children.
