Last September, the Domino’s franchise opened its first store in Malta. The news was received with great enthusiasm.

Within the first 10 minutes of opening its doors, over 80 orders were placed and this number kept increasing as time went by. So much so, that the staff ran out of key supplies by closing time. By the end of the first week, Domino’s Malta had broken European sales order records.

The momentum gained in the first week kept propelling the store forward. In just a few short months, new heights were reached. On the night of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, which coincided with the store’s five-month anniversary, sales soared with broken records of the number of pizzas sold, as well as the number of deliveries.

Furthermore, even on such a busy night, the staff still managed to maintain reasonable delivery time. Moreover, throughout these months, a number of offers and campaigns were launched which encouraged customers to try the world-famous pizza if they hadn’t yet, or to come back for more if they had already experienced Domino’s goodness.

Record-breaking is not the only thing Domino’s Malta is interested in. On the day of L-Istrina, free lunch was given to those volunteers working hard at the event. Pizza was also delivered to the contestants of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in a show of support.

The hard work and drive put into making Domino’s Malta a success stem from the same ethos as that of its parent company, Famalco Group.
