Times of Malta reports that a Maltese couple in Australia attending a family wedding were killed in a horrific traffic accident. It also reports that Malta Council for Arts, Sciences and Technology staff were ordered to strike for two hours on
February 22 and 23.
L-orizzont says Malta was in favour of the setting up of the European Monetary Fund. It also quotes Prime Minister Joseph Muscat saying that the euro is here to stay and that he was in favour of a "two-speed Europe".
