The children's festival will kick off the new Carnival weekend on Saturday morning after last weekend's events were mostly cancelled because of bad weather.

Festivals Malta and the Carnival Committee said the children's carnival will kick off at 9.30am in St George  Square, Valletta. Tickets cost €5, with a limited number of VIP tickets costing €10. 

Dance performances and the defile with floats start at 3.30pm.  Tickets cost €7 and VIP tickets cost €15.

On Sunday, the Gran Defilé will take place in St Anne’s Street, Floriana from 2pm onwards.

Those who bought a carnival ticket and did not use it will be contacted by www.ticketline.com.mt for a refund. New tickets must be bought for this weekend’s activities from http://www.ticketline.com.mt or the Embassy Cinemas, Valletta.
