About 12 days ago, six or seven workers arrived to install new traffic lights just before Sliema Hotel, at the Strand. Up to the time of writing, they are still not functioning. Pedestrians press the buttons for the red light to come on but the drivers do not stop because, rightly so, the lights are not red.

It is so ridiculous but it could be dangerous, too. They must be waiting for Easter to switch them on, with the changing over to summer time.

When will we ever learn to do things the right way?

Whoever is responsible should see the traffic lights are switched on.
