Samuel Deguara caught the headlines in the ASEAN Basketball League after scoring a three-pointer from his defensive end during Mono Vampire's match against Saigon Heat.
The Maltese professional, who joined the Thai club earlier this season, inspired his team to a 118-113 victory.
With only seconds to go to the end of the first quarter, Deguara stole possession in his own half and threw the ball from almost the full length of the court for an extraordinary clutch shot that lifted Mono Vampire within one point of their opponents at the end of the first quarter, 25.26.
Deguara, who played with several foreign clubs during his career including Benetton Treviso in Italy, finished as his team's leading scorer with 33 points and also managed 14 rebounds.
