Industrial action by public healthcare pharmacists has been lifted, Health Minister Chris Fearne said on Tuesday.

In a tweet, the minister said the UĦM Voice of the Workers had lifted the action.

“Many thanks to all involved for the goodwill to find a way forward."

Industrial action, ordered late last month, was escalated late last week following a breakdown in talks over a new sectoral agreement which have been going on since last June.

The action had been temporarily suspended pending fresh talks but the deadlock was not resolved.
