CUTAJAR. On February 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIANNA, of Żebbuġ, aged 76, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sisters Nicolette, Emma, Paul and his wife Carmen, Irene, widow of Carmel, Philip and his wife Maria, Francis and his wife Gemma, Antoinette and her husband Nicholas Cutajar, Raymond and his wife Mariella, Marie-Louise and her husband Joseph Farrugia and Isabelle and her husband Sandro Farrugia, her nephews and nieces Reuben, Ismael, Jonathan, Charlot, Aliceanne, Lindsay, Semira, Karl, Anne Marie, Matthias, Sarah and Josef, the extended family, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Monday, February 12 at 1.45pm for Żebbuġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family vault at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GALEA. On January 15, in Southampton, UK, EMANUEL LAWRENCE, aged 83 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Frances and step children in the UK. In Malta, his brother Karmenu and his wife Pamela, his sister Maria widow of Joseph Caligari, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 14, at 4pm at the Mosta Council Town Hall. The attendance of friends and relatives will be appreciated. Originally from Mosta, he lived in the United Kingdom for over 50 years as a teacher of mathematics and geography, returning to teach at Gżira Secondary School at the end of last century.

GATT. On February 11, JULIETTE, née Mifsud Bonnici, of Swieqi, aged 66, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rights of Holy Church and surrounded by her family, after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved family, her husband Anthony, her daughter Francesca and her husband Pierluigi Mollicone, her sons Michael, Nicholas and his wife Diane, her loving granddaughter Elisa, her brothers and sisters, Marise, Frederick and Angele, Paul and Roberta, Michelle and Robert, her father-in-law Henry, her nephews and nieces, Nicola, Katryna, Olga, David, Simon, Christopher, Thomas, Ann, Jessica, Philip and Jeremy, and their respective spouses and partners, her grand nephews and grand nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortége leaves St James Hospital, Sliema, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, at 8am for Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Paceville, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the family chapel at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (Upper Gate). KING. On February 10, CARMEN, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Michael, her brother Andrew and his wife Mary, Anthony, Joseph and his wife Evelyn, Emanuel and Alfred Mallia widower of her sister Mary, her nephews, nieces and numerous other relatives and friends. MICALLEF. MAY, née Scicluna Testaferrata, widow of Joseph William, aged 93, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Patrick and Antoinette, Elizabeth, Richard and Maureen, Danielle, Robert and her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, her brother Joe and his wife Miriam, and her sister Lilian, wife of Alfred Sant Fournier, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, at 8.45am at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. von BROCKDORFF. On February 10, at Hilltop-Simblija, Naxxar, MALCOLM (Toby) aged 67, passed away peacefully. ‘Festa warm-up’ at Mqabba Band Club

The junior section within the Our Lady of the Lily Band Club, of Mqabba, will be holding themed ‘Festa warm-up’ sessions, covering different aspects of the feast for young members, starting this month.

The first meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, starting at 3pm at the band club premises.

Sessions with crafts required for the production of artistic decorations for the feast of Our Lady of the Lily are also being planned.

Breastfeeding course at Catholic Institute

A breastfeeding course for pregnant mothers and their families will be held at the Catholic Institute, Floriana, on February 28, March 7 and 14.

The sessions, between 5 and 7pm, will be hosted by the Association of Breastfeeding Counsellors (branch of Cana Movement).
