• Sales agreements are binding and both parties are obliged to abide by them.
• When consumers opt to cancel a sale they may face unpleasant financial consequences.
• If a seller is unable to provide a product or service, consumers are entitled to a full refund of the deposit paid and compensation for additional expenses incurred.
• Consumers have the right to negotiate the amount of deposit to be paid.
• The amount of deposit paid should be clearly written on the contract of sale.
