Le Méridien St Julian’s Hotel & Spa is one of just 49 hotels in Europe that has received top accolades for promoting a culture of well-being and health within the company.

Organised each year by Marriott International, Le Méridien was awarded the coveted Platinum status in the TakeCare Movement Healthy Hotel Certification, from a record 1,600 entries from around the globe.

“We are firm believers that prioritising the welfare of our associates and guests creates a happier environment for all, so I’m very proud of the team at Le Méridien that strives to ensure that this spirit of promoting general well-being and people-first culture is delivered every day,” general manager Alex Incorvaja said.

Le Méridien will next year be transformed into the first Marriott hotel on the island – reopening as Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa. The rebranding follows Marriott International’s acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which included the Le Méridien brand.

The world-leading Marriott hotel chain has more than 6,000 properties operating under 30 brands in over 120 countries and territories around the world.

Le Méridien is running on a high and following a successful 2017, the hotel together with the Westin Dragonara Resort, has just received a special mention in the global 2017 Aon Hewitt Best Employers Awards, after Marriott International was bestowed with the Best Employer title.

Malta and Greece were the only two countries in the southern European region to receive this special recognition.
