Finance Malta held a networking event for its members and guests at Verdala Palace, Buskett, under the auspices of President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca. During the event guests had the opportunity to network casually while also exchanging views on a number of local and international themes that characterised 2017.
While thanking the President for hosting the event, Finance Malta chairman Kenneth Farrugia said that despite all its challenges, 2017 was another positive year for the financial services industry.
It was another record year which saw growth across a number of key financial sectors, including fintech companies, investment service providers, securitisation vehicles and pension schemes.
Furthermore, Finance Malta hosted over 50 national and international events to present Malta’s value proposition and promote the country as an international finance centre across a number of sectors.
Mr Farrugia also thanked the international network of 100 Women in Finances for attending and the Finance Malta board of governors, management and staff, without whom this success would not have been achieved.
He then presented a donation to the President in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund on behalf of the financial services industry.
