Our capital city, at last, has an entrance which it surely deserves. The Tritons fountain and the large open space around it contribute to give Valletta the dignity of a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen.
I think we are now starting to appreciate the whole Piano project and its impact on the regeneration of Valletta.
Looking forward when the works in the ditch are completed, entering Valletta should be a unique experience provided that a very desirable detail is not left out.
I urge the authorities to seriously consider that a replica of the old Malta Railway (which very few remember but all Maltese love) will be installed on the bridge which, after all, was purposely built for use by that same railway and from where it used to start on its 14-kilometre journey to Mtarfa. The Malta Railway Foundation is all out to share its expertise on the matter.
