I am writing with reference to the letter by John Apap about the Triton Fountain (The Sunday Times of Malta, January 28).

I would like to join him in appreciating the work done by the multidisciplinary team of professionals and craftspeople entrusted with the restoration of the fountain.

I also agree that it is important to set the record straight regarding the Triton Fountain and the involvement of Chevalier Vincent Apap’s friend and Public Works employee, Victor Anastasi.

I would therefore like to refer readers to my article on Victor Anastasi and his contribution to architectural and urban design in Malta published in the 2013 Christmas edition of Treasures of Malta.
