Students of Gozo College Primary School, Victoria commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day during their morning assembly.

The students wore a band with the Star of David or a triangle to remember the millions of Jews killed during World War II.

Students from Years 5 and 6 wore a striped uniform such as that worn by children and prisoners in concentration camps, and read excerpts from the book of Ann Frank and Viktor Frankl, who both experienced life in a camp.

Other students displayed posters with the names and flags of countries where genocides have taken place over the years. A minute’s silence was then held to remember the victims of war. The Maltese flag and that of EkoSkola were flown at half mast.
