• The travel agency is obliged to provide a solution when problems crop up during a package holiday or the holiday is not as agreed to when purchased by the consumer.

• Upon presentation of relevant receipts, consumers may claim compensation for any additional expenses they incurred as a direct result of the problems faced.

• Package holiday organisers are not responsible for changes and cancellations which are a direct result of extraordinary circumstances, such as for instance bad weather, strikes and unavoidable breakdowns.

• Consumers should be immediately informed about changes and should be offered suitable alternative arrangements.

• Unresolved complaints should be immediately reported to the travel agency by lodging a formal complaint.
