A young turtle that got trapped after ingesting polyester (plastic) strapping, was fortunate to get rescued at Fomm ir-Riħ bay on Wednesday.

Environment Authority employees who were on site found and reported the turtle and volunteers from Nature Trust picked it up and took it to a vet for medical examination.
