Well done to our excellent, wonderfully efficient and functional Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre (SAMOC), Malta’s very own state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility.

In my own personal multiple-visit experience and that of many other fellow patients I speak to, personnel at all levels make our stays there as near to smooth and pleasant as the facility’s raison d’etre allows.

“You’re more of a great 4-star hotel than a hospital,” I joke with staff and management.

Some have joked back: “Why only 4-star?”

“Simply because there is no swimming pool, sauna and gym,” I answer.

Nothing is ever too much to ask of them. I always feel welcome and invariably leave with a smile.

Thank you, all you beautiful people. You do us patients a massive service and the country proud!
