The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers.

Times of Malta reports that a police sergeant has been caught letting in migrants at MIA. It also reports that the American University of Malta was cleared following a pre-advised spot check.

The Malta Independent quotes Transport Minister Ian Borg saying with regard to the V18 bus transport problems that what happens abroad is no excuse and public transport needs to be improved. The newspaper also says that the Valletta ditch project is far from complete. The completion date was the end of last year.

In-Nazzjon reports how Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando threatened David Casa, saying in a Facebook post that he should be prosecuted if he discloses FIAU reports. The newspaper also reports that Antonio Banderas is due in Malta for filming of 'Genius Picasso.' It also says that a seven-year-old girl died in a home run by Appoġġ. 

l-orizzont says the European Commission has confirmed to Nationalist MEP Francis Zammit Dimech that the government was correct in the way it handled a state guarantee to Electrogas. The newspaper also focuses on the funeral of Bishop Sylvester Magro, held yesterday. His courage while serving in Benghazi was praised during the Mass.
