The Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture at the University of Malta is launching a study-unit titled Airline Business Management with effect from February 1. Coordinated by Alfred Quintano, this new study unit is on offer to third year students following a BA (Hons) in Tourism Studies but it is also open to any member of the public who wishes to attend.

The study unit will consist of 14 sessions of two hours each and will cover topics ranging from airline organisational structures, aeropolitics, airline marketing, airline distribution systems, airline revenue management, airline cost structures, global alliances, network and fleet planning, and airline business modelling.

The Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture already offers two other transport-related study units: travel and transportation management and transport policy and planning.

Members of the public who wish to register for this course can do so by latest January 21 on www.um.edu.mt/publiclecturesregistration.
