BONNICI. On January 12, EDDIE, aged 90, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Iris, his children Wilfred and his wife Doreen, Myra and her husband Notary Tony Abela, her grandchildren Keith and his wife Monique, Hannah and her husband Jeremy Cassar, Lisa and her husband Rich Langham, Sam and his wife Graziella, Michael and Becky, Sophie and Mark, Edward and Denise, great-grandchildren, his brothers George and his wife Doris, Miriam, widow of his brother Bill, Alfred and his wife Miriam, Charles and his wife Mariuccia, Victor and his wife Catherine, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, January 16 at 2pm for St Dominic church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by private interment in the family grave at Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CAMILLERI. On January 12, JOAN née Caruana, widow of Albert, aged 86, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital, surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children John and his partner Bernadette, Loraine and her husband Keith, her grandchildren Lisa and her husband Mark, Nigel and Becky, her great-granddaughter Julia, her sister Iris, widow of Eddie Bonnici, in-laws, nephews and nieces, her carer May, and other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Monday, January 15 at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by private interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursoline Sisters will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
IMBROLL. On January 5, in Toronto, CARMEN, aged 89, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her sisters Jessie, Erminia, Lina, brother Lino and his wife Censina, Antida, sister-in-law Karmena and her many nephews and nieces. Carmen was a unique and beautiful person who will be deeply missed. Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated on Friday, January 19 at 6pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Gżira. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SERRA. On December 30, MIRIAM, née Verzin, aged 84, passed peacefully away to eternal life. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Pippo, her children Rita, widow of Massimo, Santino and Carmen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Joe and Carmen, nieces, nephews and relatives from Verzin, Tomasulo and Serra friends. Her funeral took place in Catania on Tuesday, January 2. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SPITERI. On January 13, at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, Sister MARIA, aged 85, went to meet her Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the religious of the Society of the Sacred Heart, the children of her late sisters Ġuża, Carmena, Frances and Katie, and of her late brothers Michael, Tony and Rennie, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Monday, January 15 at 9am at the Seminary Chapel, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. God grant her eternal rest.
