ATTARD. On January 3, DIANA JEANNE née O’Connor (formerly of Adelaide, Australia), aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church in Welwyn Garden City, England. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Raphael, her children Susan and her husband Sebastiano, Antonia and her husband Neville, Anne and Virginia, and her grandchildren Thomas, Stefano, Francesca, Cristina and Julia. Requiem Mass will be said tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10 at St. Bonaventure’s Church, Welwyn Garden City at 12.30pm followed by interment at the Lawn Cemetery, Hatfield. BORG BARTOLO. On January 8, ALEXANDER, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his children Niki and her husband Simon Camilleri, Joe and his wife Anna, his grandchildren Tina and fiancé Simon Psaila, Tessa and Luca, his brother Victor Borg Bartolo and his wife Lina and his sister Tessie Busuttil, his brother in law Tom Anastasi Pace and his wife Vourneen, his carer Maureen Monsanto, all his nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10 at 2pm at San Girgor parish church, Sliema, followed by internment in the family Chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. DeGAETANO. Suddenly, on January 8, Lt. Col. GERALD DeGAETANO, aged 53. He leaves to mourn his heartbreaking loss his beloved mother Cecilia and father Vincent, his loving brothers and sister, James and his wife Mariella, Michael and his wife Sarah and Corinne and her husband David Griscti, his precious nephews and nieces Amy, Nigel, Nicholas, Matthew, Daniel and Emma who loved and admired him so very much, his dear uncles and aunts, his many close cousins, other relatives, and many social, athletics, kayaking and outdoor activity friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, January 11 at 1.15pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FAVA. On January 9, at Villa Messina, Rabat, POLLY of Kalkara, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Cettina, residing in Australia, nephews and nieces, their respective spouses and families, other relatives and friends.
