A short course in the numeri­cal computing programming language Matlab will be held in February and March by Malta University Consulting Ltd. The course will be spread over eight sessions of three hours each and will take place at University of Malta’s IT Services Building, Msida.

The course is designed to provide training in Matlab with special reference to programming, data analysis and visualisation.

Participants may have a range of academic backgrounds and may work or study in various sectors including engineering, finance, social sciences, health services and higher education. No prior knowledge in the subject is required, but some familiarity with scientific computing will be useful.

The course tutor and co-ordinator is Prof. Cristiana Sebu, an associate professor in biomathematics at the University of Malta’s Faculty of Sciences. She has been delivering Matlab training courses for 11 years to undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers and professionals in industry.
