The ominously-titled thriller The Killing of a Sacred Deer will be screened at St James Cavalier Cinema, Valletta, today.

The film, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, is about a successful medical couple, Steven (Colin Farrell) and Anne Murphy (Nicole Kidman), who appear to be living a dream life with their children. However, not everything under their roof is what it seems on the surface.

When Steven introduces an orphaned teenager, Martin (Barry Keoghan), into the life of his picture-perfect family, his friendship with this strange young man opens the door to a series of increasingly disturbing, sinister events.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer will be screened today at 8.30pm at St James Cavalier Cinema, Valletta. There will be encore screenings on December 28 at 7.30pm, January 6 at 8.30pm and January 13 at 3pm. For tickets, visit www.kreattivita.org.
