BRIFFA. On December 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY, aged 68, of Valletta residing in Xemxija, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rita, his sons Massimo and his wife Karen and Attilio and his wife Elaine, grandchildren Rebekah, Beppe, Luca and Ben, his brother Vince and Marika, his in-law Tania and her husband Spiridione Grima, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. GALEA. On December 21, Fr CHERUBIN GALEA, ofm, aged 85, passed away peacefully at Domus Pacis Franciscan Retirement Friary, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother friars of the Maltese Franciscan Province of St Paul the Apostle, his sister Vivienne and his brother Godfrey, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Saturday, December 23, leaving Mater Dei Hospital at 8.30am for the Franciscan Friary in Villambrosa Street, Ħamrun, from where at 9.15am the funeral cortège will proceed to St Francis church, Ħamrun. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the Franciscan chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Domus Pacis Franciscan Retirement Friary will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
PACE. On December 21, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, NICOLINA, of Siġġiewi, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Edgar, her children Roderick, Oliver, Joseph, Anthony and Mary and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 2.30pm tomorrow, Saturday, December 23, for the Siġġiewi parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment at the Siġġiewi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza and the Jesuit missionaries would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
