Newspapers on Thursday continue to give prominence to the compilation of evidence against three people charged with Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder.

Times of Malta says that George Degiorgio, iċ-Ċiniz, one of the accused, told friends he was going fishing on the day a text message was sent from out at sea to trigger the bomb that killed the journalist.

In-Nazzjon says he said after the murder that he had caught two big fish.

The Malta Independent says that the one of the suspects is thought to have listened to the explosion live after sending the text message which triggered the car bomb.

In other stories, Times of Malta says the national support hotline this year received more than 200 calls from homeless people seeking advice and comfort.

L-Orizzont says that the bank guarantee given to Electrogas has been withdrawn.
