Scores of people marched in Valletta on Saturday evening demanding the protection of life "from conception".

Organised by the Life Network Foundation, the anti-abortion participants walked from Castille Square to parliament.

Present for the activity was Rebecca Kiessling, an  American anti-abortion activist, who was born as a result of sexual assault.

The chairperson of the network, Miriam Sciberras, said human life during pregnancy was facing a constant threat, and it was therefore important to send a message that human life was precious.
