ABELA. On December 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANK, aged 53, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Judith, née Graham, his parents Gemma and Edwin Abela, his sister Daphne, his father-in-law Colin Graham, his brother-in-law David Graham, wife Christine and children (Charlotte and Matthew), his aunts and uncles Maurice Abela, Joe Azzopardi, Mary Louise and Joe Saliba, Vivien and Patrick Gouder, his cousins, their husbands and wives and their children, other relatives and his many friends in England, Malta and across the world. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, December 11, at 9.30am for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BORG. So suddenly, but peacefully, surrounded by family at Mater Dei Hospital, IVAN, passed away on December 8 at the age of 86, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his treasured wife Dorothy, nèe Azzopardi, his precious daughter Simone and her husband Pierre, his beloved grandchildren, Nicole and Alan, their respective partners Neville and Andreana, his daughter-in-law Dawn, widow of his son George, his sisters, Joyce and her husband Antoine Cachia, and Rosemary, widow of Frank Cachia, nephews and nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. The funeral will be held on Monday, December 11, leaving Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (back entrance). VASSALLO. On December 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, INEZ, of Rabat, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sisters, Carmel and his wife Stella, Paul and his wife Miriam, Doris widow of Benny Sciberras, Joseph Tabone widower of her sister Tessie, Melita and her husband Lino Zammit and Glades widow of her brother Anthony Vassallo, nephews and nieces and their children, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, December 9, at 1.30pm for St Dominic church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
