The Strada Stretta Concept, under the auspices of Valletta 2018 and in collaboration with the Gozo Creative Theatre Club, is staging the play Il-Ħmar t’Alla, a contemporary drama in Maltese about St John Vianney. The French saint is venerated as the patron saint of parish priests and is often referred to as the Curé d’Ars or the parish priest of Ars.

Taking part in the play are George Camilleri, Jamie Camilleri, Joseph Bartolo, Helen Camilleri, Anthony Debono, Alvin Scicluna, Matthias Mercieca, Marvic Bajada, Marisa Grech, Maria Cassar, Dianne Portelli, Francesca Petra Mizzi, Joseph Portelli, Jerome Mizzi, Ruth Portelli, Michel Refalo, Joellson Bezzina and Mathew Refalo.

The play is written by Joseph Psaila and is directed by George Mizzi. The Strada Stretta Concept is under the artistic direction of Giuseppe Schembri Adami.

Il-Ħmar t’Alla is being staged at The Splendid in Strait Street, Valletta, tonight at 8pm. Entrance is free.
