GRIMA. So suddenly, but peacefully, CHRISTINE, née Pace, passed away on December 4 at the age of 73, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her treasured husband Norman, her precious daughter Francesca and her husband Andrej, her sister Mona Zammit, Stephanie, widow of her brother Josie, Rosanne and her husband Victor Licari, Norman Pace, Gloria Smith and her partner Joe, and Massie Vella, her mother-in-law Miriam Grima, her in-laws, her numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday, December 8, leaving Mater Dei Hospital at 8.15am, followed by Mass præsente cadavere at 8.45am at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

JACOBS. On December 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, Dr GÜNTER JACOBS of Attard, aged 89. Mourning his sad loss is his beloved wife of 67 years Felicitas, his brother Dieter in Germany, the Plaehn family in Malta and Germany, his closest friends the Parnis family and many other friends, amongst whom the hundreds of Ramblers Association members he led on innumerous tours and the many members of the German-Maltese Circle. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Saturday, December 9 at 3pm at Attard parish church, followed by interment at Attard cemetery. Special thanks to the caring staff at Medical Ward 3, Mater Dei Hospital. A prayer for a true gentleman is solicited.

MIZZI. On December 6, FRANCIS of St Venera, residing at Ħamrun, widower of Carmen, aged 71, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his children Mark and his wife Charlene, Mario and his fiancée Pauline, Manuel and his wife Corinne, and Maria and her husband Fiobian, his beloved grandchildren Izaak, Matthias, Ema, Ben, Sam and Eve, his brothers and sisters, their respective spouses and families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, December 9 at 2pm for St Francis of Assisi church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

In Memoriam

BALUCI – INA and NENNY. Remembering our beloved parents especially in the month of December which marks our mother’s second and our father’s 11th anniversary of their passing to eternal life. Today’s 9am Mass at St Mary’s parish church, Attard, will be offered for the repose of their soul.

BARTOLO – LINO. Cherished and loving memories of a beloved father and grandfather on the 37th anniversary of his demise. Marthese, Godwin, Neil, Annalise and Pasquale.

DALLI – DENIS. A beloved husband and father, forever remembered with love on the 39th anniversary of his demise.

Immensely missed by his wife Carmen, his sons Donald, Denise, Marcel and his daughter Danielle and their families. A Mass for his response will be said today, December 7 at 8.30am at St Rita’s chapel, St Julians. Lord, keep him beside You.

DEBONO – THOMAS. A dear father fondly remembered on the 41st anniversary of his demise. Consuelo, Mariella, Carol, Louis, Miriam, in-laws and grandchildren.

LAPIRA – MAY. Treasured and unfading memories of a wonderful mother on the 40th anniversary of her meeting with the Risen Lord. Noel, Myra and Monique, in-laws and grandchildren.

MASSA. Cherished memories of CARMEN, today on the first anniversary of her demise. Always remembered by her children and their families, relatives and friends. God, grant her eternal rest.

MULVANEY – SUSAN. Treasured memories of a special wife, mother and grandmother who was called to eternal rest on October 7, two months today. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her husband Charles Sacco, their daughters Marika and Daniela, sons-in-law Marcel Gatt and Robert Camilleri and granddaughters Maya and Klara, relatives and numerous friends, especially her radio contributors and listeners. God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best (Irish funeral poem).

SCHEMBRI – JOSEPH. Today the 10th anniversary of his death. Always remembered by his wife Janet, daughters Hannah and her husband Mark, Laura and his grandchildren. Rest in peace.

ZAMMIT. Lovingly remembering ELIZABETH, née Ullo, on the first anniversary. Her children Sharon and Karl and their spouses William and Cornelia, her grandchildren and her sister Josephine.
