A defibrillator has been installed at the entrance of the Gozo Citadel, giving the public access to this equipment used when people have a heart attack.
Emergency Response and Rescue Corps head Etienne Micallef said it was important to have this station in such a busy place.
“In the case of a heart attack, every second counts,” he said.
The corps purchased the defibrillator from funds allocated to voluntary organisations by the Gozo Ministry, though the Gozo NGO Scheme.
