CEFAI. On December 2, at Apap Institute Home for the Elderly, Santa Venera, ROSARIA (known as Lucy), of Valletta, residing in Birkirkara, at the venerable age of 100, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters, Carmelina, and her husband William Catania, and Josephine Agius, her grandchildren, David and his wife Odette, Angele and her husband Mark, Tony and his wife Anna, Christine and her husband Etienne, Lawrence and Joseph, her great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Apap Institute Home tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5, at 8.15am for Santa Venera parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. A unique and beautiful person who will be deeply missed by her family and friends alike. Lord, grant her eternal rest. We thank You for blessing us with her life. PORTELLI. On December 2, CALCIDONEO, from Rabat, aged 96, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Joe and his wife Frenie, Lino, Frankie and his wife Francis, and Marcette, his grandchildren Marquita, Doreen, Johann, Yuclana, Aron and Chantelle, their respective spouses, his great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital, today, Monday, December 4, at 3pm, for St Paul’s collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at Santa Margerita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Villa Monsinjur Gonzi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. God has called to embrace, ORIANDA LEE, aged 35, from High Ridge, Madliena. Her papà Julian, mamà Josette, brother Silvain, his wife Audrey, nieces Lleana and Francesca, aunties, among whom Gina and Connie, uncles, relatives and friends, including her mates and tutors at Inspire, will be missing her presence, love and charisma. Her lovely smile was the sunshine in our lives, her memories now twinkling stars from the skies. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5, at 8.30am for Ibraġġ parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Instead of flowers, donations to Inspire and Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. Special thanks go out to all the staff at the emergency and ITU department.
